Qualification :

• Master’s degree in relevant field

Selection Procedure : 

Selection of candidates for admission to Ph.D. programme will be based upon the academic performance in the 

1. qualifying examinations, 
2. written aptitude test, 
3. presentation on a research topic and 
4. interview 

as specified by the concerned departments

• Application form and information brochure can be downloaded from NITK website http://www.nitk.ac.in and completed application form is to be sent to the Dy. Registrar (Academic) NITK, along with necessary D.D. for Rs. 500/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 150/-) drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, payable at State Bank of India, Surathkal/ Canara Bank NITK Campus Branch Surathkal. Application without the D.D for the required amount will not be considered. The last date for submission of completed application is 25.11.2013.

• Last Date for receiving completed applications 25th November, 2013
• Applications to be sent to the Departments for processing, on or before 25th November, 2013
• Preparing preliminary merit-list or short-listing 29th November, 2013
• Last date for dispatch of call letters to short-listed candidates, and announcement in the website by respective departments 02nd December, 2013

• Publication of provisional selection/merit-list on website 18th December, 2013
