University of Calcutta notification for Ph.D. in APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY

Applications are invited for admission to the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta (Rajabazar Science College, 92, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata--700009) for Ph.D. course and subsequent research work for obtaining the Ph.D. degree in Applied Psychology. 

Candidates who wish to pursue research work in this Department should apply in the prescribed application form (obtainable from the Department of Applied Psychology) by paying Rs. 100.00 through a challan (obtainable from Cash Counter in Rajabazar Science College Campus and College Street Campus). No Demand Draft / Postal Order or others will be entertained. 

Duly filled application form (one copy passport size photo and xerox copy of all qualifications) must reach the office of the Head of the Department between 06/11/2013 and 21/11/2013.

The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of 2.5 hours, to be held in the Department on 27/11/2013 (from 12 Noon). 

The syllabus of this examination is the UGC- NET(Paper II and III A) in Psychology and existing syllabus of M.A./M.Sc. in Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta.

The results of the written test will be published on 29th November, 2013. 

The successful candidates will be called for an interview on 02nd December, 2013. 

The candidates will be finally selected as Probationary Ph.D. student of this department on the basis of the evaluation in the interview.

At present three (03) students will be taken. 

Those candidates who have already passed UGC (JRF) examination/NET/SET/SLET/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations or passed the M.Phil in Psychology or equivalent examinations need not appear for the written examination. Such candidates can directly appear for the interview but they need to submit their application forms for admission within stipulated date i.e. 21st November, 2013.

Ph.D. admission notification in electronics @ University of Calcutta

Applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D. Program in the Department of Electronic Science.

• Candidates willing to pursue the research work leading subsequently to Ph.D. (Science) degree in Electronic Science of the University of Calcutta should apply in the prescribed proforma downloadable from University website (www.caluniv.ac.in). 
• The application form accompanied by the counterpart of a challan (obtainable from the sales counter of the University at its College Street campus) of Rs. 100/- should be submitted to the office of the Secretary, University College of Science at the above address. 
• The challan must be endorsed by the Head of the Department before deposition of fees at any cash counter of the University.
• The eligible candidate will have to appear at a written examination to be held in the Department, the details of which are appended below. Successful candidates will have to appear for an interview/counseling. The final selection for joining the Ph.D. Program of this Department, along with the allocation of supervisor; will be made on the basis of this interview/counseling.
• Candidates who have already cleared UGC-CSIR (JRF) NET/GATE/SET/Teacher Fellowship or passed the M.Phil./M.Tech./equivalent examination are exempted from appearing for the admission test but have to directly appear at the interview.
